FLAMINGO MIXED MEDIA ART JOURNAL PAGE

 We are in the month of December. Are you preparing for your festive holidays or enjoying your time with loved ones? How you Brighten Up yourselves?

I created simple mixed media art journal. I love to see Flamingo pictures and colors. Have you checked the moodboard at Mixed Media Academy monthly challenge?


December moodboard pictures inspired me to create mixed media art journal page. Pastel colours and flamingos are one of my favorites. This inspired me to make tropical theme with flamingos..

Flamingos are always stand for positive vibes. The brighten up situation is always 'live, laugh, love'.
This month compulsory element is 'shadow'. So I have created shadow to the flowers and flamingos which feel like there are group of flamingos & flower branches behind it.



Steps to make this page is as below:

At first prime the base with gesso. i have taken my mixed media art journal book from itsybitsy. Allow the gesso to dry.

Second step is cut the image you want to stick. Then glue it with the help of decoupage glue. Then add a layer of clear gesso on top of it.

On the second page, i added some elements.

After drying it, i sprayed lindy's starburst spray. Then spreaded it around my round brush.

Next i added tattered lace chalk paint from itsybitsy.

for creating shadows, i added chalk paints around the flamingo in the shade bubble gum, misty rose,french rose and snow from itsy bitsy. For creating shadow for the elements in the second page, i added lindy's starburst spray in the shade cowabunga copper, a bit o'bubbly, fuzzy navel peach.

Next i added border with black marker around the lement and flamingo and highlighted with white gel pen.

At the end, i sticked the sentiment on the page

FANCY FIVE

Hello everyone... Happy friday. It is the month of june. In some areas, it's still summer. Though little bit rain started, i experience sunny days in these days. It makes me to think of summer vacations i spent and what we eat usually in summer days.  Oh yes.. summer days are craving for cooling items. It inspired me to create this card.  This card is for color dare challenge . The challenge starts now and runs for two weeks. This week challenge is color dare challenge 499 . And the theme is fancy five. Here you can choose atleast 3 colours form the the image. i have used all colours on the background strips and black&white.  Method to prepare the card:  I have taken white cardstock. Then precisely cut into 7*8.5 inches.  Next i scored in the middle on 7 inches side. It created the slimline card base. Then i took photoplay paper in summer theme.
